How to: Sew a Patch on Jeans | Repair a Hole with an Iron-On Patch | Easy Sewing Lesson
If you have a small tear in your clothing, or just want to embellish a jacket or pair of trousers with a fun patch, then this sewing tutorial will show you how.
I'll run through how to apply the patch with an iron, and then how to sew it (using the whip stitch) around the edge to make sure it's securely fixed in place.
If you're using a sew-on patch instead, I do recommend attaching it to your clothes first with fusible web, before you sew around the edge. This is just to ensure that the patch stays in position and flat against the fabric during the sewing step, which will make it easier for you.
I hope you like this video :)

How to Pass Knit Stitches THROUGH Other Knit Stitches | TW2 & TW3 Mock Cables | Knitting Tutorial
Переглядів 18019 годин тому
I saw this interesting knitting technique in 'The Knitter' magazine, and it was referred to with the abbreviation TW2 (not to be confused with Tw2 which is a cable). The process involves essentially passing a knit stitch through another knit stitch - not over or under like you do with cables - and the effect is a single diagonal strand of yarn on the front of your knitting. If you stack these o...
How to Knit: C2F & C2B PURLWISE Cables | 2 Methods Without a Cable Needle | Wrong Side Row Cables
Переглядів 12414 днів тому
This knitting tutorial demonstrates how to knit the purlwise version of C2F (1/1 Left Cross) & C2B (1/1 Right Cross) cables, which are cables formed by simply passing 1 stitch over another stitch. These cables are created on the wrong side rows, but form the C2F & C2B cables on the right side (front) of the knitting. Normally, you'd use these when you want to make 2-stitch cables on every row -...

How to Knit: Open Twisted Rib Stitch | k1tbl & p1tbl | Figure of Eight Pattern

This striking knitting pattern looks intricate but is achieved fairly simply by knitting & purling through the back loop (tbl), 'passing a stitch over' (pso), and using yarn overs to create the lace effect. It's the pso that creates the horizontal strands between each 'o' shape in the pattern. I hope you like the pattern! If you would like to browse craft products that I use in my videos or tha...
How to Knit: Changing Rib Stitch | Easy Slip Stitch Stripes | Knitting Pattern

This simple knitting pattern involves only knits, purls and slip stitches, so it's great for beginners. The result is vertical stripes on a reverse stockinette stitch background, and I think the alternating design makes it much more interesting to look at. Just note that it's not as stretchy as classic knit/purl ribbing. I hope you like the video! If you would like to browse craft products that...

4 WAYS to Knit 2-Stitch Cables | C2B & C2F Cables With & Without a Cable Needle | Knitting Tutorial
Переглядів 156Місяць тому
This lesson demonstrates how to knit C2F (1/1 Left Cross) and C2B (1/1 Right Cross) cables in 4 different ways. These cables simply involve passing a knit stitch either in front of, or behind, another knit stitch, and there are a few ways to achieve this simple effect. The first way is by using a cable needle, and the other 3 ways allow you to avoid using a cable needle to speed up the process....

This knitting lesson shows you how to knit narrow C2F (1/1 LC) and C2B (1/1 RC) cables, which are created by passing one stitch over another. • @RokoleeDIY
      @RokoleeDIY 6 днів тому

      Sorry for the late reply. Yes you can put the clay back in the oven repeatedly. Just make sure you leave the clay to cool once it's out of the oven, because when you first take it out and it's still warm it will be soft. It hardens as it cools :)

    Wait at 3:13 why do we need to cut off one and a quarter inches from the fold, and then we fold and iron the new hemline half inch and half inch (taking off 1 inch total)? does it add a quarter inch in length to what we originally wanted to hem it at?

    • @RokoleeDIY
      @RokoleeDIY 26 днів тому

      Hi! The 1/4" is to make up for the 2 folds, which will each use a slither of width because the denim is relatively thick material. You wouldn't need to add that little bit extra if the material was a thin cotton because you could press the folds very flat. Hope that makes sense

    • @RokoleeDIY
      @RokoleeDIY 6 днів тому

      Hi, sorry for the very late reply. I would add the interlining in when sewing the 2 cravat pieces together. Place a piece of interlining/interfacing on top of the 2 pieces (when you're pinning them right-sides-together), and make sure it's the same shape but minus the seam allowance the whole way around. That's if you're using sew-in.
